Yomala?

The name we chose for our trainings and workshops ‘Yomala’ is a created word that pays homage to two roots that inspire and reinspire the principles of our trainings;

Yāmāla is a Sanskrit term that translates as ‘the Heart’. In śaiva texts it describes the conjoined form of Siva and Shakti, or, the merging of consciousness and action. 


A mala symbolises the necessary discipline and degrees of diligence and humility necessary to journey into the depths Yoga offers. One is never far away as a remainder, and a favourite way to wrap up our yoga teacher trainings is with the shared celebration of a Yoga Mala.
